I have a KN1 sli extreme which does not have firewire connections on the
motherboard. My case has fireports on it and the cables. Can anyone
recommend an expansion card so that I can connect the firewire ports up>

Hi David
The KN1 Sli board does have firewire connections on it. They are at the
bottom of the M/B near the USB connections. They are refered to in the
manual as 1394A1/A2 (10-1 pin Headers, Orange).
