Just wonder if I should, and how to convert my external hard drive to NTFS
before it gets used. Is NTFS more efficient for managing space? I know fat32
has 32k clusters which produced a lot of unused space as I see files which
are on 10k taking a full 32k cluster. How does NTFS deal with this? BTW, I'm
running XP.
Thanks |

You could use Partition Magic, Partition Expert or a couple of others to
convert. But... in my case, my external drive goes everywhere and if like
me, you have to stick it into a cpu running Win98 or 95, then you might want
to leave it as FAT32... unless you have one those programs that allow you to
read NTFS from 98/95
