| Is it possible to send personal messages to someone who posts on this forum? I ask because I have come across someone who has the same motherboard as I do, and is configuring it the same way, and I would like to communicate with this person about specific questions. |

Private messages can only be sent to a registered user and not a Guest via this NG, simply click on Profile and then click Send Private Message, or simply click E-mail in the normal way, only that person will then see the message, of course if a Guest give's their E-mail address in a post you can do it that way, beware of Spam when giving E-mail addresses in postings.
If you want to contact someone that has previously posted, the norm is to 'Ping' that person, an example suppose you had a post 3 weeks ago and I couldn't find it I could simply post.... Ping Jackpine re mobo (used colour here for clarification purpose only), this would be typed in the Subject bar, then continue with the question or whatever.
Or I could simply type, ATTENTION, Jackpine re-: Mobo
You'll notice the odd 'Ping' throughout the forum.
When you receive a Private Message you will see it indicated near where you log on at the top and if you select 'Send notification' in your Profile settings you will automatically receive a private E-mail notifying that you have received a private message.
