|
|
Greetings,
I would like some comments, impressions, and thoughts about the advantages
or disadvantages of the larger LCD screens. The LCD screens are getting
larger and I do not quite understand what advantage these larger screens
have over the more "standard" 17" LCD screens being sold with computers
today.
Thank you in advance for your help and comments,
Leigh |

Ummm.... 2" more? ;-)
Just got a 19" Samsung 191T+ from www.newegg.com to replace my 17" monitor.
One definite advantage is I now have more space. At least until the
inevitable clutter takes it over.
Larger screen gives a few more choices for resolution. For some people,
larger is better, especially as the years progress. Watching a DVD on it is
great as well but you can do that with a monitor too. It all boils down to
the depth of your pocket book and your personal preferences. A 17" LCD
would be probably be fine for most.

Along with what PC said the bigger the monitor the more space you have on
the screen because you will be able to run a higher resolution and still see
the screen. Also if you have the option of a dual monitor that's even
better. Once you start working with two screens you will hate to go back to
a single one. I work with two screens with CADD at work and it's great.
