Hi! I own an Gateway Performance d/top- PIII 600mhz running on Win98SE with
a Maxtor IDE 10GB hdd but was slow & noisy.
So I had upgraded the Hdd to a Seagate 20GB IDE and install programs
from my other pc into the C: drive (windows). I have check the
settings | Device manager all the driver was registered.
On reboot, everything was just fine as before.
However I noticed that MsOffice 97 msword is missing with "Quill" font
and I cannot run my Chinese star 2.97 (chinese character word program).
Certain keys on the keyboard such as (@) key has change to (") causing
problem when
I had to key-in the email addresses.
Prior to replacing the hdd, everything was working fine .
I suspect there are certain adjustments that had to be made
when replacing a hdd. Can someone kindly advise?
Please help
