I purchased a 400vtx back in the summer. I want to upgrade it from XP Home
to XP Pro. Through my school I purchase the Pro version a lot cheaper tha
gateway. DO I have to do a total install or can I upgrade withput any
problems

Did you buy an upgrade version or a full version?

Yes, it will work fine to upgrade Home to Pro. Note that if you have Home
SP1 installed, you will need to follow the installation of XP Pro with SP1
unless it's included, and then reapply all Windows updates.

Thanks. I figured that it should. When I asked Gateway they saod that I
hadn't purchased it yet from them . Well I knew that , I had purchased it at
school.
