I have obtained a USB Webcam which is unbranded and has no manufaccturer
name on it. When I try to install it shows up as 'PC CAMERA' in XP, which
then looks for a driver but can't find one. I've tried various USB webcam
drivers from various vendors, but cant get them to work. Is there a generic
USB webcam driver I can try???

Do what I always do - take it apart and look at the number on the chipset
and google it. You will find a suitable driver for it.

Hi! I am having the sort of the same problem as the other guy up there, only I did get a disc for installing the driver. Only thing is, is that whenever I try to install it, the pc just freezes, or shuts down. Mine too is an unbrabded webcam that I bought from ebay, and with very littel info.

Here's the ebay link to the webbcam to see photo and specs
