Finally "scrubbed" my 120G HD on GW 700 XP and reloaded, adding service
packs, patches, etc. as I loaded Win XP Home and other progs. Slow startup.
Removed all items from Startup Folder(s) and still slow startup. I'm
looking at msconfig and wondering what to remove from "services" to see if
that's the problem. System starts, I hear endless thrashing sounds from HD
and start button takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r to appear. Anybody have any ideas?
TIA,
Bonnie

Thrashing??? Whatever that means... can't be good.
As far as all things "Services" related, this is an excellent source for
info:

What mode are your drives operating in? Did you install the chipset
drivers?
