|
|
Okay, I just bought a external hard drive for the Gateway
Solo 9550 laptop. The external hard drive has a USB 2.0
connection. Of course my 9550 only has a USB 1 connection.
Now I have read that I can buy a PCMCIA card that would provide
me a USB 2.0 connection. Is this right? If so, any suggestions
on what make I should buy. I tried doing a google search and came
up with hundreds of cards for sale. What is good? I dont want
to pay more than I have to but I want something that works.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you. |

Newegg has quite a few. They stand behind their stuff so if it doesn't work
you should be protected.
They aren't all that expensive.

Linda, you shouldn't have any troubles dealing with newegg.com.
I have done a lot of business with them and quite a few of the reputable
people on this list have had good encounters with them. I found out about
them through this group - I took good advice from good people and I've had
no troubles.
Good luck in your searches.

Linda,
I've bought from newegg.com many times. They're prices are very
low, and they've always delivered as promised. I've had to do a few
returns (my fault, not theirs), and it's no problem getting my credit
card credited once they get the merchandise back.
