Here's the poop:

I've got a dual boot system running Mandrake Linux 9.1 and Windows XP Home.
I'm using an online time sync service thru Mandrake to set my PC's time,
which is working wonderfully. However, when I reboot to Windows, I'm
suddenly about six hours ahead. If I change the time in Windows (manually
or using online powers) and reboot to Linux, I'm suddenly six hours ahead
there.
I've checked and rechecked my "time zones" and both OS's are set to the
same. The mobo battery is relatively new.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like you have linux set with "PC Clock is on GMT". That would cause
that problem, as your time zone is probably CST, which is 6 hours
different.
