|
|
I have an MS-6368 motherboard.
I want to upgrade the CPU.
What is the fastest Celeron, and also the fastest Pentium III CPU I can
use in this mobo?
There are several types of CPUs listed: Tualatin, FCPGA, FCPGA2 ....
Which ones are compatible with this mobo?
Thanks!

I had a quick look at the manual online, and it says that mobo will handle
1.2GHz and above. If you check pricewatch.com the 1.2 GHz P-III can be had
for $70 online, and that's what I would buy.
I upgraded CPU (and mobo) from a 733MHz P-III to a 2.0GHz Celeron (P-4 type)
and saw very little difference. I have used the P-III based Celerons, but
don't remember how well they performed.
If you want more than a P-III can give you, get at least a 2.4GHz P-4 and
bypass the Celeron.
Hope this helps,
