I am replacing a faulty motherboard in a system right now. I went ahead and got a new identical Chaintech 7NJL6 board put everything back together and now trying to get the system back up & running, but I keep running into an odd problem.
I set up the bios and save and exit and then it stops dead. The cpu fan still runs the case lights are on but it will not boot up or run through the POST. I reste the jumpers and reconfigured the settings, tried to save again...and the same thing happened.
I am at a loss as to what to do at this point. I have checked all conections rechecked the jumpers, etc. I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. Anyone have any ideas? |

Ensure that all your IDE cables, memory, and
video card (remove other PCI cards to start with)
are set in firmly.
Leave the default settings to start with, except
for the part in the BIOS that says "Stop on POST
error" or something like that. Ensure that this
is NOT selected. IOW, you want to keep booting
even if it finds a error on POST.
