Roxio Easy CD Creator comes already installed on WP and my husband installed it. He also installed Nero media software (unsure of what edition, one of the older ones). Used the add/remove programs feature and neither was fully removed. Every time I start up Windows it tells me that there are software conflicts and that drivers are being held captive somewhere unknown to me. I had this problem with Panda Platinum Internet Security and had to get special instructions on removing the leftovers from my registry. I can find no such help for either Roxio or Nero. I cannot burn cds or dvds and I really need the help.

Hi, welcome to the group.
I have heard of people having problems with Nero 7, can't say about Roxo.

The only help I can offer is to try un-installing them one at a time and would try Nero first, think they said it has big red butons at the bottom, if this is a result of MS Service Pack 2 again I can't say, may be worth checking on their site, seem to remember being told a driver update cured the problem.

Maybe trying them one at a time will prove something, have you tried doing a search in the search bar for any remaining folders, when un-installing it 'may' be better to use the un-installer if supplied, you'll see it in the relevant programme in the start menu

Still on Nero 5.5 here..... seems to be problem free, hope someone will come along and throw more light for you.
