Forgive me if some version of this has been asked ad infinitum.

The problem:
1) one damaged Homeworld 2 Game CD.
2) game requires CD to start even though it is a full install (aargh!)
3) no desire to Download a no-cd crack as it mould make online play very
difficult in this game.
4) disk is very likely copy protected

Description of the damage:
1) small dent abaut the sise and shape of a #2 flat head screwdriver head
starting from the label side, oriented parallel to the edge. (Though what
on earth happened to the disk is something of of a mystery)
2) disk is otherwise perfert. i estimate that less than 0.25% of the disk
surface to be damaged
3) my attempts to copy thus far get about 40% of the read done, then slow
to a crawl.

the question:
Can any one recommend software that will produce a good enough copy of
the disk to allow my game to run?
