Schöner TagIt drives me crazy:within the device manager the status of my DVD/RW-CD-Drive is functional. Nevertheless I deinstalled and reinstalled the driver - to no avail.

I played with:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CD Burning\Drives\Volume{de14e8cb-885c-11d7-8597-806d6172696f}]
"Drive Type"=dword:00000003 / dword:00000002

I deleted:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}]
"LowerFilters"=hex(7):50,00,78,00,48,00,65,00,6c,00,70,00,32,00,30,00,00,00,00,\
00

Still the CD does not get recognized. Sometimes - but only sometimes - when I reboot the first inserted CD gets recognized. But only in the beginning. Later the LED on the DVD/RW-CD-Drive blinks and nothing happens.

I tried my luck and wanted to burn a RW right after a reboot. I got:
#14 mmc -1106 File Writer.cpp, Line 308 Power calibration error
Any ideas on what I should try next are welcome...
