|
|
For some reason whenever I press alt+tab or ctrl+alt+del my computer goes in to stand by. I have searched for viruses and removed all spy ware. After hours of google searching I found no solution. Anyone have any ideas or know of a way to set hot keys? I don't want to download a program that changes my hot keys because I have never had one so I shouldn't be having this problem. I will get a program if it is my last resort.
edit: The actual function of theese keys still works (for example alt+tab will still switch between programs), but after i let go of the keys, my computer immediatley goes in to stand by. I also do not have hibernate enabled. |

| try a diffrent keyboard or go into control panel and have a look in accesibilty options make sure none of the toggle filter or sticky key boxes are checked. Not sure if that will help but its what i would try first. |

| I tried a new keyboard and It works now. I also found that it only happens when i press the alt key. But now Im down one less keyboard. Do you think there is a short in it or something, maybe a bad driver? Thanks for the reply. |

| It's definitely something with the keyboard then, if it only happens with that one keyboard and is fixed by switching it out. I can't think of how releasing a broken alt key would standby the computer though... Also, try seeing if it happens no matter which alt key you use, or if it's just the alt key on one side? |
