Hi there!
I know that you can only record once in a CD-R but I have an odd
situation in which more than twenty CD-R's have a few files recorded
in them. This resulted form my ignorance with CD burning initially and
I made a lot of mistakes.
My problem is that when I try to use the CD-R's to record something
else (store some data files in order to salvage the CD-R's) on the
remaining unused space I get the message that the CD-R's are not blank
and the burning process has to be aborted.
What did I do wrong? Why can't I make use of the unused space? Is
there a way around this?
I'm running windows xp pro and Nero 6 if this info is important.
Thanks.

See what Nero says about the cd's in [Recorder, Medium-Info] (or click
the "i" icon on toolbar). What does Nero say about "Available
Capacity"? If it's greyed out, the disc is closed and you can't burn
anymore to the disc.

Make any new recordings on cd-r disks as "multi-session" disks.
On older cd-r disks you should be able to add additional material as long as
their is necessary space on the disk.
Unless you "closed" the disks when you made them.
Check the options available in Nero 6.0, and see what choices can be made. |
