Hi. Just bought this mainboard on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-Mainboard-Epox-4PEA9I-for-Intel-P4-Celeron-CPU_W0QQitemZ6828817641QQcategoryZ48476QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I've been trying to find a list of compatible CPUs, with no success. I was
looking at this one:

http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=7873

Do you think that will work with it?

If not, can you recommend one that will?

See this link:

It indicates that your board "might" support a 533MNz FSB Prescott, if the
board is a ver. 2 make.
Otherwise you're "relegated" to a Northwoods style cpu.

Any way to tell the difference?

The revision is usually written somewhere on the board,
either close to the model no. or somewhere in a corner.

I haven't actually got the board in my hot little hands yet. But the
seller provides a picture of an EP-4EA9I.

http://img9.imagevenue.com/img.php?loc=loc299&image=b32_Epox_4PEA9I.jpg

On the top lefthand corner there, it says REV: 0.2

Assuming there are only two versions of the board out there, that's
probably the second revision. Am I right? Is that how they tend to do
things at Epox?

Yes, that's the way they do it, sometimes you find the revision
also close to the PS/2 or between the pci sockets,
but that picture must be a preproduction unit,
in the field you should only find 1.x and 2.x revisions.

Download this, your board is in the list:
