Anyone with experience of these boards?

BIOS. When I try to update the BIOS on this board all I get is
"Unknown Flash Type". I have tried both DOS and winflash and still get
the same. (Jumper on board is set to enable flashing.)

Any ideas?

Also I have had this board for ages but have never been able to get
the onboard sound working.

I have tried fresh installs of winXP, 2K and 98SE but still no luck.

(Sound is enabled in BIOS and there are no jumper settings regarding
sound.)

I have tried both of the ECS driver downloads (for some reason ECS has
two different driver sets for this board on it's .TW & .COM websites)
as well as a generic AC97 from realtek but still no sound.

The drivers seem to install OK but when playing a wav via soundrec the
wave seems to just stay static and no sound is heard. Also there is no
internal or patched sound being passed as converting an audio file for
example just gives an empty output file. (In other words this is not
an external speaker problem.)

Anyone got any ideas?
