Why do these programs not work together when using iso9660 mode 1?

Write with either: nero burning rom 6. 3. 125 or roxio easy cd
recorder 6. 1.1.48

disk is only 10% used, set properties to iso9660 dos or iso 8.3

try to add new session using BSGold 5.2.7.0, again iso9660.

BSGold cannot write to disk, explorer shows disd full.

I thought iso9660 is supposed to be universal when used in 8.3
mode?

it's possible the disk was closed when it was burned. That's a throwback to the old days of computers where ROM drives couldn't see an open CD. They would just spend an eternity looking for the end of the CD.

When adding data to an already burned disk, the disk must not be closed the first time it was burned. I don't know what the default was when you burned the first disks.
