Can some kind person tell me what the last SUN server was that will
run 2.5.1?
I know the E250 and 420R will, what about an E5000?
I am assuming that the V240,V280 etc won't run it ?

Solaris 2.5.1 will run mostly on the US-I and US-II Hardware.
Since 2.5.1 is EOL, it does not make any sence to use 2.5.1.

No. US-III and US-IIIi was introduced in Solaris 8.

No. US-III and US-IIIi was introduced in Solaris 8.

Thanks for the info. I am stuck with one particular server app which
has to run on 2.5.1 but the hardware is getting on a bit now! Migrated
the rest to Sol 8.

I suggest you hassle your vendor for a version that supports
a more recent version of Solaris! Given Solaris' binary
compatibility, it might be worth trying the app in a newer
version anyway.
