I need about 300 cds replicated and cannot afford the expensive setup for
copy protection. Is there a low tech approach that will prevent the
majority from duplicating? I'd be happy if 95% or so were thwarted.

sheesh... I hate being on this side.

NB. For some protections, YOU will need a writrer that is "2 sheep"
or better, to create weak sectors.

I would say, without doubt, that anything you can create with a
writer, is beatable, but as you say, if you can keep a lid on it for
free.

Thanks for your help. They were exactly what I was hoping for.

By chance do you know how to add a requirement that the install cd be in the
drive when the app is run? Is this usually done in the code of the app or
is there another way?
