Hi everybody,

I have a fairly large audio collection, and have noticed that some of the
earlier CD's I've bought have started to rot (the infamous CD rot
apparently does kick in after time).

So I decided to preserve my music on my computer in two different ways:
lossless as backup, and another set as mp3 to listen to.

At first I wanted to store everything as .wav, but I though that ISOs would
be a better way to go.

But now I have stumbled upon a little problem: there are some audio CD's
that have a data track as well! If I want to create an ISO from such a CD,
only the data track is stored in the ISO.

How do I burn both parts in one ISO so that I only have to restore the ISO
to another disc in future? And does anybody know of software (free) that
can create ISO files?

I have found software that does exactly that, but isn't free. I am a
programmer myself, so I could whip up something that writes the ISOs
myself, but why reinvent the wheel?

Thanks in advance,

Ikke

Like awesome Dude. You are going to "whip" something up because you
are such a hot shot programmer. But can't figure out how to properly
burn an ISO disc.

This is choice and you are way out.

At least I am a programmer instead of a jobless moron who cannot even
answer a question.

Thanks for playing.

Oh, and by the way: I never said I was a 'hot shot programmer', but I've
read the ISO specs, and that IS something you whip up in no-time. This is
not rocket science, you know.
