A friend sent me some song through Outlook Express they have a
wav.extension. I have no problem playing them with Windows Media Player 9
it's when I try to burn a copy a message says an error has occured and
burning was unable to complete.
I used Windows Exployer and viewed a song in properties it read mmsystem296,
the file cannot be played on the specified device. The file may be corrupt
or not be in the correct format.

I have no problems in the past burning songs from a regular Cd .Can anyone
help me

Thanking you in advance

Gerry

What software are you using to burn? Are you setting it for audio disk
or data? If data, that's your problem.

cd-rw with music can only be read by the burner. Get cd-r media. These
should be readable by most cd-roms made in the last 5 years.
