i have a Thunder K8SD Pro (S2882-D) board and im using the legacy pci
card for something else and i need a video card - what type of video
card do i need because the slots on the board dont match anything that
ive seen - can someone please send me a link to a card that will work
on one of the pci-x slots

This is a server board with onboard video. You don't need a video card.
In any event, you should have little problem finding a PCI video card that
works fine in a PCI-X slot.

One the S2885 there is a jumper J39 that puts the two 66 MHz
PCI-X slots into "PCI Compatibility Mode" so that ordinary 32
bit/33 MHz/5 Volt PCI cards can be used. There should be a
similar jumper on the S2880 and S2882.

It just doesn't use the whole slot. The unused portion is extra
data lines that are irrelevant when the slot is used in a 32-bit
mode.

If you have a PCI card that doesn't fit, then it is probably a
3.3 V card instead of a 5 V card.
